You may not know this about me but l spent a whack of time fighting for my life and I almost died - several times.
So I’m extremely grateful and more than anything I want to help people. I know it sounds cheesy but I’ve been more than 200 pounds overweight and I know how frustrating, scary, confusing, and lonely it can be.
I also know how isolating and infuriating it feels when all the plans, diets, and programs out there seem to be for people who don’t have as much weight to lose as you do.
Losing a significant amount of weight needs a different approach than taking off 5, 10, or even 25 pounds.
The Program is your way into a healthy relationship with food and a healthy body.
Dropping a significant amount of weight is hard. I designed this program to make things easier. Not easy, but easier. When it comes to lasting weight loss there is no easy.
Losing weight is about so much more than the food you eat. It’s about the way you think and feel about food and about yourself. The Program gives you the tools and strategies you need to get the weight off and keep it off for good.
To do that you need to change more than what you eat - I actually don’t think you should change what you eat, just how much.
The Program is 53 weeks of intense lessons to completely overhaul your relationship with food.
The Program is different from other weight loss protocols because it was designed exclusively to deal with significant weight loss.
It isn't enough to learn how to get the weight off.
If nothing has changed aside from the number on the scale and the size of your clothes you're going to put the weight back on. This is why 85% + of all people who lose their weight regain it within five years.
The Program moves beyond what you eat so you can focus on what's really going on when you're reaching for food and using it to comfort, reward, and cope.
This program is for anyone who's struggling with obesity and is looking for a permanent solution. You need more than another quick fix. The Program isn't just here to teach you how to lose weight; it's about learning how to change your relationship with food so you can get to your goal weight and stay there.
If you listen to the podcast or you follow me on Instagram you'll know that I don't do meal plans because I believe you should lose your weight eating the foods you love and I don't do the whole "diet and exercise" thing. I don't care about your step count and I don't have any physical exercises for you.
Anyone looking for a quick fix, detoxes, meal replacements, fat-burning teas, waist training tips, or meal plans. (If I tell you what to eat how are you ever going to figure it out?)
Anyone unwilling to be honest with themselves.
I’m not here to enable or coddle anyone. I will tell it like it is as kindly as I can but I won’t lie to you.
If you’re looking for platitudes or shortcuts please look elsewhere. I don’t have a magic wand, there are no supplements, shakes, powers, or pills involved.
I don't want there to be any surprises so you need to know that if you're not willing to track your calories The Program will not work. I'm going to teach you how to do it effectively and efficiently so that it's as straightforward and easy as possible but tracking is a non-negotiable component. All the mindset work in the world to fix your relationship with food won't make you lose weight if you're not in a calorie deficit.
You also need to be committed to the workbooks. They're going to take time each week.
More than anything this is an investment of time into yourself. If your plan is just to watch the videos, put in the hour and pick it up by osmosis I can assure you that it won't work.
You're going to learn how to eat the foods you already know and love in a guilt and shame free way without continuing to gain or failing to lose the weight.
You'll learn what's driving your hunger and your weight gain and how to get both under control without restricting yourself or feeling desperate.
I'll show you the circumstances and elements aside from the food itself that go into your decisions on what to eat and when. The way things like the place, time, or people you're eating with impact your choices - whether you're aware of them or not
I'll teach you how to find and change the deeply ingrained habits you have and the factors you're not even thinking about when you're reaching for food.
I'm going to give you the confidence and encouragement you need to get ALL of the weight off and keep it off permanently.
With time and lots of support. I've broken things down in a way that will help you move through them intuitively and logically - so that each new skill or strategy builds on the ones you already have.
The first thing we’re going to do is take a look at where you are now. You can’t change what you can’t see so it’s critical that you learn how to take an honest look at what you‘re eating every day.
Then we'll start rebuilding your relationship with food and taking a look at the way you use food to comfort, reward, and cope.
